Elon Musk has quietly financed a major canvassing operation to help Republican candidates in the midterm elections that rivals his effort in the 2024 presidential election, according to federal filings posted Thursday night. To monitor the trillionaire’s overall influence on November’s elections, WIRED created a l ive-updating tracker that pulls federal filings daily. The Musk-aligned America PAC has spent $76.7 million in the third quarter of 2026, $35.8 million of which has been spent on a field operation to drive turnout among President Donald Trump's core base across all seven Senate battleground states and a number of House races, the filings show. That compares with the roughly $45 million America PAC had spent on putting together a field operation at the same point in the 2024 cycle, when the super PAC effectively ran the vast majority of canvassing for Trump's presidential campaign.
